We have 2 types of silk sliver from China. The Tussah is a wild silk with an ecru colour and Mulberry silk is a bright white type of silk. This is achieved by feeding the caterpillars only leaves from the Mulberry tree.   Silk sliver is not washed or carded but reeled. This product is used to spin, felt and to make bijoux products. In addition, we also have silk cocoons (first choice). These are used to unravel the cocoon into silk thread.

We also have Bourette silk fibers from France. These carded fibers are made from the waste of the silk industry. The fibers are used for spinning and felting.
