Needle felt is made, not by rubbing wool with hot water and soap, but by punching the wool with barbed needles. This way the wool gets felted and becomes a nonwoven material. Needle felt is rougher than Woolfelt and is used mainly to fill acoustic interior panels and to make troll puppets.
Our needle felt is made of PURE NEW WOOL and meets the high standards of the UNE-EN 71-2, UNE-EN 71-3 and Öko-Tex 100. Every step of the production process takes place in Western Europe.
Needle felt weighs 725gr/m². We have the following colours in stock:
